Colfox School, Dorset A Case Study on The First DBFO School Project
The contract for the provision of replacement fully serviced school accommodation for Colfox School, Dorset was signed on 17 November 1997, representing the completion of the first PFI project in the school sector and one of the first local authority schemes completed under the regulations introduced for PFI in local government in October 1996.
The purpose of this case study is to process followed by the Dorset Country Council in letting this contracts, the key features of the agreement reached, and the lessons learnt.
